JOY 94.9 Volume 1

Following a string of album releases in the mid to late 1990s, we decided to embark on an entirely new series of CDs to represent JOY’s new frequency, JOY’s new direction. This is where the current series all began – released on October 17, 2005. Now out of print, this two disc release featured 36 tracks that had been ripping up our airwaves, from (among others) Tina Cousins, Basement Jaxx and Juliet. Volume one featured exclusives like the MJ Bootleg remix of Inaya Day’s ‘Nasty Girl’, Jupiter Ace’s ‘1000 Years’ and a track that’s regularly requested to this day, Supersister’s ‘Coffee’.
