On Sunday 1 February 2015, Victoria’s LGBTI communities and their allies came together in solidarity, unified by their diversity to celebrate as they have done for the past 19 years.

The 20th annual Pride March saw Victoria’s premier, Daniel Andrews, lead the march with his wife and members of his cabinet. Restating his mantra ‘Equality is not negotiable’, Premier Andrews became the first Australian state or territory leader ever to participate in an LGBTI-affirming march.

Since the inception of Victoria’s Pride March, St Kilda’s Fitzroy Street has hosted the event. In 2015, over 140 groups, more than 4000 participants and some 50,000 spectators made the 20th march the biggest ever.
