Office Admin is the front of house team at JOY and the role is critical to the smooth running of the station; this position is usually the first point of contact for members, listeners and the general public. The role assists the office staff and on-air broadcasters with a range of tasks including; answering the phones, processing memberships, handling listener queries, and greeting guests, looking up weird and wonderful information and hunting down music. It can be a very diverse and interesting role.
We have the following vacancies within our Office Admin team:
Friday nights – 9pm to 11pm
Saturday mornings – 11am to 1pm
Saturday afternoons – 5pm to 7pm
Saturday nights - 7pm to 9pm
Sunday mornings - 7am to 9am
Sunday nights – 7pm to 9pm

Freshly Doug JOY’s daytime current affairs program requires a podcaster. You must be available for 3 hours a week to edit the program and prepare for podcast. It is essential that you are able to upload podcasts in a timely manner, have an interest in news and current affairs, and previous experience with audio editing would be preferable but we are willing to train the right person.

JOY is looking for volunteers to join the online content team. You will work on developing content for the JOY website as well as our blogs, and social networking pages. You will work with the Content Producer to create diverse content for JOY online. There’ll also be the opportunity to create online content for special events including JOY’s 16th Birthday, Midsumma, and even a community section of the website.
