The Online Team are the cool kids who carry an array of awesome gadgetry, so the are permanently plugged into the interweb so they can keep JOY fans informed with up to the nano-second news, podcasts, blogs and all sorts of entertaining and fun forms of content. They're also the ones who hold the website together with a sturdy string of code. If you consider yourself a bit of a twit or know what PHP CSS means - better still if you CAN tweet or code in PHP CSS - we want you! Social Club (Events Team)
This new team is going to be an arm of the Events Team that looks after internal functions. They will organise fantastic events just for volunteers and members - if you think karaoke, bowling night, Sunday brunch or film outings are a lot of fun and want to have a go at working with a great team of people to organise them, this is the gig for you. Experience is ideal, but seriously - anyone who's ever organised a group of friends to go out for the weekend has the necessary experience. Events Team
Think of the last time you were at a fantastic event and just loved every moment of it - entertainment ran seamlessly, dinner was served on time, speeches were delivered with panache and finished quickly - it seemed like magic right? Truth is there was a team of event masterminds behind it planning everything meticulously and then spending the night making sure everyone was having a good time. This team is that team. They are know how to organise events and know how to do it well. If you like the buzz of running an event and getting accolades for hosting a fantastic party, this the is team for you. Office Admin is the front of house team at JOY and the role is critical to the smooth running of the station; this position is usually the first point of contact for members, listeners and the general public. The role assists the office staff and on-air broadcasters with a range of tasks including; answering the phones, processing memberships, handling listener queries, and greeting guests, looking up weird and wonderful information and hunting down music. It can be a very diverse and interesting role.
