office admin

Office Admin is the front of house team at JOY and the role is critical to the smooth running of the station; this position is usually the first point of contact for members, listeners and the general public. The role assists the office staff and on-air broadcasters with a range of tasks including; answering the phones, processing memberships, handling listener queries, and greeting guests, looking up weird and wonderful information and hunting down music. member services

telephone coordinator

If you have experience in a call centre environment, currently hold a certificate IV in Training and Assessment and you're available to volunteer 5 hours per week. This role is responsible for coordinating the telephone team which is made up of volunteers while keeping record of the status of all calls. If this role interests you, please email psc@joy.org.au

if you have good verbal communications, experience in customer service and you are more than happy to contact listeners as part of our member retention, eg. responding to membership enquiries and calling lapsed members, then we want to hear from you. This role is focused on regularly making contact with our member base, asking what is important to them from a community radio station, and encouraging lapsed members to renew. Podcasters

Are you cool with audio editing software? Have you previously completed the Taste of Radio course at JOY? There are a number of programs which need help podcasting their great content and reaching a wider audience. Get involved by emailing bm@joy.org.au

Saturday Magazine

Work is currently being done to improve this flagship show and we are putting together an even stronger team. If you would like to be a part of the team, we are looking for people to fill the following positions:

  • production of the show ( including podcasting)

  • presenters

  • panel operator

  • social media officer

Six at Six Producer & Presenter

Help Canadian Dave kick start each weekday with the hottest new tracks to our weekday mix. Digital editing skills and presenter experience preferred. Training to fill some gaps may be needed and we're happy to help out.   The role requires approximately 2.5 hours each fortnight between Friday and Sunday evenings.
