There are two casual vacancies on the Board. JOY 94.9 is incorporated in Victoria as JOY Melbourne Inc. and the Board oversees the direction of the station and ensure its statutory obligations are met. It develops policies and employs staff to undertake duties that will achieve its strategic goals. This position plays a crucial role in making adifference in the field of community broadcasting and working for a station that is truly unique in Australia’s media landscape.

The JOY Events Team plan and coordinate JOY events, celebrations and promotional activities. Other activities include developing ideas for special events, assembling the project team to plan an event, coordinating event preparations and the implementation of the event plan. JETS meet monthly on Tuesday evenings and as required in preparation for events.
Experience in events management is preferred. Applicants to the position will be interviewed by the existing JETS chairperson.

We are looking for marketing interns to assist the Marketing Manager with the facilitation and administration of promotional campaigns. These will range from marketing research to writing and proofing copy. This position is well suited to a current marketing or business student seeking practical experience and wishing to develop their skills and contacts while making a difference in the field of community broadcasting and working for a station that is truly unique in Australia’s media landscape.
